Get ready for a weekend packed with pure basketball energy. The North Splash World Hoops Classic brings international flair, local passion, and elite-level play to Zaanstad, powered by TNS Basketball Academy and world-renowned pro dunker Chris Staples.

On May 1st and 2nd, the city transforms into a playground for the game: intensity, skill-building, connection, and the drive to grow. Two full days of basketball action, clinics, contests, music, and community.

Whether you’re here to dominate the court, level up your game, show what you’ve got, or just soak up the atmosphere—this is your spot.

This weekend is all about growth, challenge, connection, and expression for all ages and all levels. Whether you're taking your first steps or have been playing for years, this is your moment to Splash.

International 5v5 Tournament
1st & 2nd May
Challenge yourself, face teams from across Europe, and compete for €1,200 in prize money.
An international stage where different playing styles and basketball cultures collide. Club team or self-assembled squad—you’re welcome.
The tournament runs on a double-elimination format, meaning every team plays a minimum of two and a maximum of seven games.
TNS Basketball Academy will also step onto the court with a team featuring none other than Chris Staples in the lineup.

Clinics with Chris Staples

Train with a pro.
Two separate clinics, each tailored to a different level. For ages 8–18.
2.5 hours packed with skills, insights, and energy.
3-Point Shoot-Out
1st May
Range, rhythm, respect.
First open to tournament players. If spots remain, others can join.
Maximum 10 participants.
Dunk Contest (with Chris Staples)
2nd May
Show us how you fly. Open to everyone aged 16 and up.
Judged by Chris Staples and a panel of experts. Only the best 10 earn a spot to compete live for the Master Belt. Your chance to show what you’ve got!
